Job Description:
The two-year postdoctoral researcher will conduct research focused on biochemistry, molecular biology and cancer biology. This position is designed to offer hands-on education beyond the candidate's terminal degree. Details regarding the appointment related to this postdoctoral researcher position can be found in FASOP HR-02.
Job Responsibilities:

70%- Conduct experiments in biochemistry, molecular biology and cancer biology. These include cell culture, PCR, animal handling etc.

15%- Supervise and maintain general laboratory operations.

15%- Analyze, prepare, and present results in manuscripts and at scientific conferences. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. and related coursework in the discipline/specialty area
Preferred Qualifications:
DVM or equivalent and a Ph.D. in molecular biology and bioinformatics. Three years of Post-doctoral research experience with relevant publications in peer reviewed journals. In addition, post-doctoral research experience in molecular and cell biology and bionformatics. Experience as research associate or post Ph.D. experience. Experience in molecular biology and biochemistry lab post Ph.D.
Special and Physical Qualifications:
Essential Personnel - This position may be required to report to campus in times of emergency and/or closure per PS-18.
Requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching (above shoulder), reaching (below shoulder), vision (near sight), vision (far sight), climbing, crawling, twisting, pushing/pulling, grasping, squatting, and lifting less than 50 pounds.
