Actuarial Analyst, Senior

Your Role

The Actuarial Pricing Shared Services team is responsible for collaborating with different Finance and Actuarial teams to support enterprise financial tracking and forecasting and drive the pricing target setting and planning to meet Company's operating and growth goals. The Senior Actuarial Analyst will report to the Senior Manager of the Actuarial Pricing Shared Services. In this role you will have visibility into total company financials and enterprise-wide initiatives. You will directly support reporting and forecasting of total company financial with a focus on Gross Margin. There will be exposure to support strategic initiatives on products, as well as impact assessment for legislative changes.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree with at least a minor in mathematics, statistics, computer science or equivalent business experience
  • Requires 3 years of professional actuarial experience
  • Requires an ASA designation or the majority of the courses completed towards the ASA designation
  • Requires proficiency in SQL, SAS and/or Tableau, and experience with common data science toolkits such as R and Python.
  • Requires critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires the understanding of financial and economic terms
  • Requires proficiency in financial regulations

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 99770.00 to $ 149710.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
