This position is perfect for someone looking to build and manage a diverse portfolio of research contracting experiences, including federal, foundation, and industry sponsors. The SRCPM will have a wide range of technical responsibilities and will gain exposure to researchers from many disciplines and other stakeholders across campus.

The ability to work both independently and within a team is critical for success in the SRCPM role. The Research Contracts team manages the receipt, review, approval, and establishment of all sponsored program awards within Notre Dame’s portfolio. The key responsibilities of the SRCPM include:
- Proficiently review, negotiate, and accept agreements related to research (collaborative research agreements, MOUs, material transfer agreements, non-disclosure agreements, etc.)
- Establish and negotiate sub-awards with sub-recipients of all types and research consulting agreements.
- Proficiently draft and execute customized agreements for non-standard situations, such as Industry Master Sponsored Research Agreements (MSRA) and Industrial Testing Agreements.
- Support University compliance requirements such as IRB, export control, sub-recipient monitoring, FFATA, and technical and intellectual property reporting requirements.
- Maintain information and documentation in our electronic research administration systems and interface with Grants Program Management (GPM) staff for financial and programmatic award management.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience with research agreements in higher education.
- Experience should include the review, acceptance, and negotiation of agreements for sponsored program funding as well as experience with eRA systems, sponsor systems, and university legal and contractual requirements and policy.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
A Certified Research Administrator certification is preferred but not required.
Significant experience with and understanding of all sponsor and agreement types, and their associated regulations are desired.
